This dataset - the Contiguous Client Roster - provides listing of the values as they change. The (contiguous) client roster provides the ability to query the situation at random points in the past. (N.B. historical data is both available, and updatable, so occasionally records for past years will change. It is not a fixed-for-ever snapshot). Due to complexity of the Contiguous Client Roster we recommend analysts and researchers to first evaluate whether the other annual summaries of registration presented in the main Client Roster is suffcient for their analysis before requesting Contiguous Client Roster. The Client Roster provides an aggregated breakdown of all people who live or have lived in B.C., over time, and it specifically focuses on people who have registered in the health care system with a Personal Health Number (PHN). The Client Roster was created out of a need for standardized client information. This process entailed a manual review of every road segment against high resolution satellite imagery to determine a) if the road exists or not and b) if the road linework is in the correct location. Road locations were corrected as required. Roads that were visible on the satellite imagery but missing from the road dataset were digitized (added in) and roads that were not visible on the satellite imagery were flagged as not existing and removed from this published dataset. Additionally, if an assessor was unable to determine whether a road existed or not based on the satellite imagery the road was flagged for a future field-based assessment. As of April 2025 this field-based assessment is not complete. A field called [ROAD_TENURE_TYPE] identifies the administrative responsibility for each road, and was filled out based on several publicly available road datasets. The environmental suitability ratings focus on how well the species is suited to the climatic and site (i.e. edaphic) conditions of a site series regardless of management objective. Tree species environmental suitability ratings refer to the degree to which a tree species can be successfully established and maintained to maturity under specific climatic & edaphic conditions in the absence of independent limiting factors such as biotic (e.g. forest health) or abiotic (e.g. fire) disturbances.
